International Conference Contemporary Problems of Thermal Engineering

The 1^st CPOTE conference, held in 1998, was dedicated to the 50th Jubilee of Prof. Szargut s scientific activity.

The 2^nd one (2004), was connected with the celebration of centenary tradition of the Institute of Thermal Technology, reaching back to the Technical Universitiy of Lviv.

The 3^rd CPOTE conference (2012) was connected with the jubilee of Professor Andrzej Ziębik s 50 years of academic activity.

The 4^th CPOTE conference (2016) was devoted to the topic Sustainable Energy Systems for our Common Future and it gathered over 100 participants from all around the globe.

The 5^th CPOTE conference (2018) was dedicated to the memory of Professor Jan Szargut. The main topic of the conference was Energy Systems in the Near Future: Energy, Exergy, Ecology and Economics . This was the first conference organized with the scientific support of Institute for Energy Engineering, Technische Universität Berlin.

The 6^th International Conference CPOTE 2020 will be held in Kraków with the scientific cooperation between Department of Thermal Technology and AGH Center of Energy.
